CNWL HQ Relocation

CNWL HQ Relocation

The Landlord gave notice on the CNWL NHS FT Head Quarters at 75 Hampstead Road, after 7 years in-situ, as they wanted to redevelop the site which meant a non-negotiable need to move to new premises.

Considering the population and mixed use of the existing premises, and some rationalisation of nearby property portfolio, the Trust decided to move its operations to 2 new locations:

– 350 Euston Road, NW1
– Argo House, NW6

And refit existing space at The Gordon Hospital SW1V for some teams to relocate.

In the mix was significant change in working practices and locations, distribution of teams from a central to geographically distributed work locations.

An end to end, fully managed, and appropriately resourced service capturing the requirements for the Trust including:
• Identification of premises to provide a new central location for the Trust HQ, and additional locations for a range of the back office functions, spread across the Trust domain.
• Timely relocation to enable the smooth relocation of staff to new locations with the minimum of disruption to business as usual operation, service users and the wider CNWL community.
• Workplace orientation and resurrection of elements of the Trust’s workspace transformation programme
• Design and fit out
• Move planning and management
• Staff consultation and engagement
• The move
• The decommissioning of the vacant HQ building at 75 Hampstead Road

Estate transformation – or estate planning for new estate requirements – is an area to which QTS bring both experience and a unique toolbox of techniques and tools that can deliver highly efficient estates that deliver in the long term for large organisations.
The increasingly ‘agile’ nature of modern working practices has created the opportunity to transform large estates. In terms of both space type and function, fixed desk space is giving way to more flexible, collaborative working – enabling staff to function more efficiently and interactively and, on a macro level, for the overall planning of space to become massively more cost-efficient.
Delivering effective transformation relies on the ability to understand and effectively implement optimisation. For new estate, our planning tools can develop scenarios for capacity modelling and map user requirements onto an estate in an optimum manner to ensure buildings, and their occupants, can function in the most efficient way possible.
With a wealth of experience in this field, QTS can enable genuine, lasting, change that will deliver long-term cost savings to large organisations.
Get in touch and we’ll be happy to take your through both your options and examples of previous projects.

Claire Murdoch, - CEO, CNWL

""The trust provided its estates and facilities function through a wholly owned subsidiary which was very dynamic in its approach, looking for creative solutions to estate challenges. The subsidiary provided an estates and facilities service. It ensured that money raised by property disposals remained within the NHS and the model was attracting a lot of interest from other trusts.""
