At QTS we have taken our team’s 25 years’ experience at managing
the estate and facilities needs of one of the UK’s largest NHS Foundation Trusts and we turn that experience and knowledge into bespoke solutions that are cost effective, high quality and tailored to the specific needs of our clients.

The management of buildings can be a real headache for occupiers, our Facilities Management team can provide advice on current performance, service specifications and retendering contracts as well as managing services on your behalf.

This service extends to helping you manage your assets effectively, we’ve developed specialist online asset management tools that give you the information you need, in a practical way at your fingertips, we use it for one of our largest clients, managing effectively over 120 buildings and sites.

  • Asset Management – Including landlord and tenant management, accurate and live data management using purpose built innovative software. We have expert level in resolving lease, rental and charging issues with all landlords, both NHS and private. With excellent real estate systems and management, our team can source suitable property for our clients and handle disposals to obtain the best price and value for money.
  • MIS – We have developed an innovative data capture and Management Information System (MIS) to support CNWL NHS FT to improve their processes around collecting, collating and computing estates and finance data to achieve the high quality of data reporting required by NHS Digital and so that the Trust has accurate up to date information on it’s estates and projects at it’s finger tips; we have also implemented an automated ERIC Reporting Module as part of this.
  • Soft and hard FM – Our experienced and dedicated team offer a full range of management function, strategic support, advice on operational delivery and advice on tendering. We currently provide services across 120 units throughout London, Surrey and Milton Keynes.
  • Capital Projects – With a proven history of delivering capital projects, from minor to major capital, from inception to completion. Our expert capital team work with clients to carry out feasibility studies, develop the brief of our clients, design, construct and upon completion handover to our clients fit for purpose estate. We have always delivered our capital programmes on budget and to a high quality.
  • Transport Management – We deliver seamless, efficient and caring specialist NHS transport services. These services include, Patient Transport (PTS), Secure Ambulance Services, Wheelchair Taxis, Patient and staff taxi services and a courier service. Our large regional footprint enables us to provide innovative scheduled and ad-hoc ambulance provision, which is adaptable to the needs of local patients and the wider regional healthcare system. We release capacity from the system as specialists in out-of-hospital care and we support customers to deliver the NHS outcomes framework and standards set by the CQC.
  • Sustainability – From a Healthcare perspective, sustainable health and sustainability is about delivering healthcare within financial, environmental and social constraints. A sustainable healthcare system delivers high quality care without wasting and exhausting our resources. We do this by insulating our buildings appropriately so it takes less fuel to heat and disposing waste responsibly to avoid harm to people and the environment. We revised CNWL’s Sustainable Development Management Plan (SDMP) and Sustainable Development Action Plan (SDAP) to align with our activities and targets to those set out by the Sustainable development plan. Through completing some immediate actions from the SDAP we have implemented solar panels across five Trust premises, started upgrading to LED lighting and optimised plant controls to suit occupancy patterns. Through these initiatives, we achieved a 11 per cent decrease in carbon emissions on behalf of the Trust.
  • Strategic Estate Management – Our expert and experienced team offer a strategic estates management service including:
    • Estate rationalisation advice and delivery
    • Estates strategy advice and/or production of estates strategies
    • Liaison with key stakeholders, both within and outside the NHS
    • Creation of board level presentation of estate and facilities business cases
    • Advice on outsourcing, contracts and creation of wholly owned subsidiaries.
    • Production of bids for capital and revenue including VFM templates and business cases
